President Obama is Courteous to Hugo Chavez! "Looord have mercy!!!"

Once, again, "The Watchers" have outdone themselves!

They have been deeply diligent in displaying their dumbness... complaining now about President Obama's April, 17, 2009, visit to Latin America, and his smile and handshake with - his courtesy toward - leader Hugo Chavez at the 5th "Summit of the Americas" held in the two-island nation of Trinidad and Tobago in the Port of Spain in the Atlantic Ocean off of northeast Venezuela; Trinidad is an island in the southeast West Indies and Venezuela is the 3rd largest oil producer for America.  Evidently, the gripe is that Mr. Chavez had characterized President Bush's past visit to Venezuela as, "The devil is here," or something to that effect.  Mr. Chavez had given Barack Obama the gift of a book.  What can this humble man, our President, do to please you people?  (Only very strong people are able to exhibit humility!  The weak display only a fake machismo!)  Not take and shun Mr. Chavez?  Take the book, and run?  There's an old adage "The Watchers" would be wise to conform to, "If you keep your mouth shut, people will only think you're stupid, but if you open your mouth, you'll prove to them that you are stupid!"  (Someone help me out here with the exact words of that maxim.)

I ask you:  Is it possible to make favorable strides with someone who you're standoffish, cold, and discourteous to?  Of course not!  This is the precise reason why we only allow two terms for presidential idiots!  The next president has to come in and pick up the pieces and start anew!  (Forgive me, I learned namecalling from Judge Judy and Dr. Laura!)

Ooookaaay, claaass - raaaise your hands - whyyyyyy do we meet with leaders of other countries?  (This sarcasm is meant for "The Watchers.")  Do we visit someone else's home to be cold and distant and brusque and boorish?  Mr. Chavez would say to us, "Screw you!" like he did - to President Bush (Was it Bush one or two?)  Why visit at all?  Do we want to close a chasm, or not?  Newt Gingrich, for one, scolded President Obama - Newt wanted our President to meet with Mr. Chavez in "a cold and distant manner...."  (Isn't that speeecial!?)  That wouldn't even make sense to a child yet "The Watchers" preach this conduct to adults?  Now out of office, why do we still allow Mr. Gingrich to tell us how to think?  Aren't there younger, fresher, models out there!?

What's with the conservative, religious, Right-to-Lifers?  Their religious tenets, i.e., to "forgive your enemies" and "treat others like you want to be treated" don't apply in certain areas, like politics and world affairs?  Their religious tenets only apply in women's uteruses?

What really gets me:  "The Watchers" smugly have the guts to face us, the common people (There must be a better expression than "the common people," it makes us sound hackneyed, and we're not.  Can you think of a preferred expression?), through their cameras and our television screens and spew their asinine, half-witted, promulgations like the above, and we're supposed to be so grateful to them for telling us what and how we should think.  They proudly disgorge their meaningless judgmental vomit, the couple of condescending, mentoring, sentences, get down from their pulpits, and think they really did something!  They really accomplished a formidable feat!  I deeply "sense" their pride through my television set!

There must be a dearth of political fodder, again!  Have we run out of news, again, boys?  The pundits can always argue adoption.  It's invariably THE last resort.  A fill-in, of sorts.  When politicians run out of politics to discuss, they resort to adoption; when psychologists and family professionals run out of fodder for discussion, they resort to adopton; when radio talk-show hosts run out of subjects to converse about, they summon adoption; when authors run out of words, they embrace adoption in their books.  And, so on, and so forth . . . .  Adoption sells!

Thank God (or Allah, Buddha...) that President Obama is our point man!!!

                                                 Expect Miracles!
